What’s the difference?

The complimentary version is a wide shot designed to capture the full stage.

The premium version is like a feature film with close up angles and remixed audio.

The complimentary version is what the school normally provides.

The premium version is just an upgrade.

Here’s a perfect example:

What could go wrong when you fill a room with 400 cell phones? An actor’s mic can go haywire and ruin the scene! With modern audio reconstruction technology we can recover what once was unrecoverable.

Cinema Lenses

We chose to use anamorphic cinema lenses to bring clarity and depth to every shot—making the footage feel closer, more polished, and emotionally alive, like you're watching a memory instead of just a recording.

More than audio repair…

The audio has been fully rebuilt from the ground up—each mic pack individually mixed, every music cue balanced with care, and dialogue enhanced for clarity. This process requires many hours of editing (for the audio alone) and makes all the difference in the world!

Letter from Sam

Well hey there!

I’m Sam, a videographer / audio engineer / producer who’s been working with SAA for years.

I’m also a dad. (Times three!)

When I set out to film this performance, I asked myself this question:

“what would I do if one of my own kids were in this show?”

I’d bring 6 of my best cameras. I’d remix the audio until every line was clear. I’d make it look and feel just like it did when I saw my kiddo in the show—maybe even better.

Not just to remember it.
 To be proud of how I captured it.

Now, the version included with your semester fees is solid. A clean wide shot with audio exactly how you heard it in the room. It’s authentic, it’s dependable, and it’s more than many schools offer. For a lot of families, that’s exactly what they need—and I fully respect that. I helped make it happen.

But this premium version is something different.

It’s a cinematic upgrade—filmed and finished the way I’d do it for my own family.

Because our kids only get a few of these moments before they grow up.
(I’ve got three—ages 6, 4, and 2—and I can’t believe how fast it’s going.)

That’s why this version exists—
For anyone who wants to hold onto it just a little longer.
